The Startup Chat is Proto.in’s initiative to help entrepreneurship – especially those beyond the urban centres where meets seem frequent. Every saturday, between 10 A.M and 5 P.M, aspiring entrepreneurs and key stakeholders of the indian startup fraternity meet online in an informal chat session.

The Format of the chat is as follows:

1. The first half of the day is led by a general topic with conversations flowing around it. Folks who drop in are also permitted to ask any specific questions they might have, with the participants answering them. The focus primarily lies on the main topic to keep one steered direction, but is not strict on all participants singing the same tune – so yes, you can chat away on other things, and if too distracting can go on a private conversation.

2. The second half of the day after a lunch break is dedicated to five startups, who nominate themselves on the spot and are allocated 30 mins of time for the participants to provide feedback. You can be extremely specific on the kind of feedback or help that you require – Eg. How do I market this product to a customer in region xyz, or can have demo accounts for one of your newest products that you can show, and people can give feedbacks on usability, needs, etc.
