

Saurabh Srivastava
Mr. Saurabh Srivastava is one of India's leading IT entrepreneurs, Angel Investors and Venture Capitalists and chairs or sits on the board of several companies. He founded one of India's most trendsetting IT companies, IIS Infotech (now called Xansa). Xansa plc. is a US $ 700 mill IT company listed on the LSE. Mr. Srivastava Chairs Infinity, India's leading seed stage VC fund as also the Indian Venture Capital Association and sits on the boards of the Indian government's National and several State Venture Capital Funds. He is a member of the Prime Minister's Working Group on "Fostering Innovation and Sustaining Competitiveness" and chairs the Ministry of IT's Working Group on Software Export. He also chairs the Asia Pacific Venture Capital Association, the apex body for VC Associations of all countries in the APAC region.
Mr. Srivastava is a co founder and Past Chairman of NASSCOM, the Indian software industry association, President of TiE Delhi and on the global board of TiE, the world's largest organisation devoted to Entrepreneurship. He is on the Advisory Board of the Imperial College, Business School London, an adjunct professor of entrepreneurship at IIT, Mumbai, holds a Masters Degree from Harvard University , USA, and a Bachelors in Technology from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur, which has conferred on him the "Distinguished Alumnus" award. The University of Wolverhampton, UK has conferred on him an honorary Doctorate in Technology.
Alok Mittal
Alok is a first generation entrepreneur, now in the venture capital business. Alok heads up venture operations for Canaan Partners in India, with focus on internet, technology and BPO space. Alok is also a founding member of Band of Angels India - an organization comprising successful entrepreneurs looking to invest in seed stage businesses. Prior to this, Alok cofounded JobsAhead.com, a leading job portal which was acquired by Monster.com. Alok is an active charter member of TiE Delhi. Alok is a computer science graduate from IIT Delhi and, postgraduate from UC, Berkeley.

Shantanu Surpure
Shantanu Surpure is a Managing Advocate/Attorney at Sand Hill India Advisors, a law firm with offices in Mumbai and Silicon Valley.
Shantanu focuses on venture capital and private equity transactions and has extensive experience in representing venture capital and private equity funds in fund formations and venture capital and private equity financings in addition to representing emerging and public companies in venture capital and private equity financings, mergers and acquisitions and public offerings. Shantanu has a special focus on cross-border India-US transactions and has previously practiced law with a large US law firm in Silicon Valley.
Shantanu holds a BA from Brown University/London School of Economics, an MA Juris from Oxford University and a Juris Doctor from Columbia Law School. Shantanu is admitted to practice law in India, California, New York and England and Wales.
Shantanu is a Charter Member of The Indus Entrepreneurs (TiE) and is active in mentoring entrepreneurs and start-up companies in developing the Silicon Valley "ecosystem" in India. Shantanu is also a founder director of the Mumbai Angels, which is an initiative for organized angel investing.

Samir Sood
Samir Sood is the Head of South Asia - M&A and Investments for Google Inc., a provider of Internet search technology and has led investments in India such as Seedfund and Erasmic Venture Fund. Prior to his appointment at Google, Samir was a member of the Corporate Business Development team at Cisco Systems, Inc. where he lead wireless acquisitions and investments. Samir executed the first venture investment in India for Cisco Systems, Inc. among many other acquisitions and investments.
Samir has also worked at Microsoft Corporation as a Market Intelligence Manager identifying growth and market opportunities in the small and medium business software customer segment. Samir started his career on Wall Street with Lehman Brothers as an Investment Banking Analyst in New York. In India, Samir was part of the founding team that set-up the Lehman Brothers Investment Banking office after spending a few years on Wall Street. Samir has operational experience in India, having managed an auto parts manufacturing facility with the India Forge Group of companies.
Samir has a MBA from the University of Chicago, Graduate School of Business, a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Tufts University, and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute.

Rohit Agarwal
Rohit Agarwal is the founder and CEO of techTribe Networks, a software company that enables professionals to express their identity online and connect with others to enhance their professional careers.
A seasoned entrepreneur, Rohit has been a founding member of successful startups, led marketing, sales, and business development functions at established software companies throughout his 16 year career in enterprise software. Prior to techTribe, Rohit was a co-founder and VP of Marketing and Business Development at Webify Solutions (acquired by IBM in July 2006), Vice President, Strategic Marketing at Baan Company (NASDAQ: BAANF), Founding VP, Marketing at CommercialWare (acquired by MICROS/Datavantage), and VP, Product Strategy at newScale. He has also held Sales and Marketing Management Positions at Remedy Corporation (NASDAQ:RMDY, acquired by BMC), and FileNet (NASDAQ:FILE, acquired by IBM).
Rohit is also an industry speaker at international conferences, and an author. His new book titled - How Innovators Connect, was published in March, 2007.
Sekar Vembu
Sekar is a serial entrepreneur with over 11 years of experience in the IT industry. He was a Co Founder, the CTO and a Business Unit head for AdventNet , a leading player in the network management domain, albeit better known these days for the Zoho suite of products. He had helped AdventNet grow to a 300 people organization without raising any venture capital funding. After AdventNet, he founded SwissSQL, a database migration solution that helps save over 90% of the migration effort and over 80% of the costs typically involved in database migration projects; SwissSQL was later acquired by AdventNet in 2004. Thereafter, Sekar founded Vembu Technologies and has played the pivotal role in growing Vembu to its current position.
Sekar holds a bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering and a masters degree in Operations Research - both from IIT-Madras.

Sharad Sharma
Sharad Sharma is currently CEO of Yahoo! India R&D. He has over 21 years of experience in the enterprise software and wireless infrastructure sectors. Prior to joining Yahoo!, he was involved in buyout activities focused on taking mid-sized software product companies private. Previously, he was the India General Manager and VP of Product Operations with Symantec (formerly VERITAS Software) and was responsible for the turnaround of VERITAS operations in India.
He was earlier a co-founder and CEO of Teltier Technologies, a New Jersey based wireless infrastructure start-up that became the leader in the Presence and Availability Management space and is now part of Cisco.
Sharad has managed product development teams at Lucent Technologies both in US and in India. He also setup AT&T's and later Lucent's R&D organization in India in mid-90s, at a time when offshore product development was just getting underway.
Sharad is passionate about making product development succeed in India both for MNCs as well as for domestic players. He is an active mentor in the NASSCOM Mentoring Program and Chairs the TiE Bangalore SIG on Intrapreneurship. He is also a long-standing member of the IEEE Computer Society and IEEE Technical Committee on Software Engineering. He has an Electrical Engineering degree from Delhi College of Engineering. Ashim Roy
Ashim Roy serves as the VP & CTO at Comat Technologies and teaches telecommunications technologies and policies at the Catholic University of America in Washington, D.C. Dr. Roy has number of years of senior management experience at leading information and communications technology companies in Australia, Canada and USA. He has actively worked on several generations of networking technologies including satellite, wireless and fiber. Dr. Roy combines technical expertise with strong performances in the management and marketing of advance technology solutions. For the past 3 years, Dr. Roy has been actively engaged in ICT4D (ICT for Development) projects and initiatives in India and USA. He brings a global technology and management perspective to implement sustainable rural development. Dr. Roy has published more than a dozen papers at International conferences and has 4 patents.

Sanjay Swamy
Sanjay Swamy is Chief Executive Officer at mChek, responsible for the entire operations of the company and scaling mChek to support customers across the globe.
Prior to mChek, Sanjay was General Manager of Ketera India, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Kleiner Venture backed Ketera Inc., a leading provider of on-demand eProcurement and Spend management solutions. The India operations were setup by Sanjay from scratch and today have a high-end team of about 100+ employees. Prior to joining Ketera, Sanjay also setup and ran India operations for mPortal, a Virginia-based startup in the Wireless Data services arena. In addition, Sanjay has worked for 12 years in Silicon Valley, holding senior marketing and business development positions in the online/mobile content at Portal Software, Xerox PARC and in embedded systems at Integrated Systems (now Wind River).
Sanjay has an MS in Aeronautics from University of Washington, Seattle, a higher studies diploma in Avionics from France's National Aerospace School (Sup-Aero) and a Bachelor of Engineering from the University Visvesvaraya College of Engineering, Bangalore.
